Why buy original art from Zatista? We'll tell you here
Post-Halloween Post

If you ask me, Halloween is a great departure from the norm. I typically don’t have the most gothic inclinations, but I do get a kick out of seeing everyone dress up their homes and bodies at this time of year.

The holiday itself means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. To kids, it naturally means candy. But for most adults, it’s the combination of childhood memories and maybe a few lingering superstitions. Somehow, we turn all that into one fantastic night of fun – celebrating the ghosts, ghouls, witches and monsters who are otherwise relegated to children’s closets and under their beds the other 364 nights of the year.

To me, Halloween looks like this:

"Fall Bounty" by Justin Wheeler on Zatista.com

One part harvest.

"Interior, Cisco, Utah" by Matthew DeLorme on Zatista.com

One part ghost town/haunted house.

"Captive" by Laura Carter on Zatista.com

One part floating, forlorn female apparition.

"Raven" by David Page on Zatista.com

And three parts, “Quoth the Raven, ‘Nevermore.'”

"Ravin' in Red" by Susan Reed on Zatista.com

"'A Bird in the Head'" by Dragan Jurisic on Zatista.com

Got something scarier than Edgar Allan Poe’s classic poem “The Raven?” – Tell us what your Halloween looks like!
