About This Work
Textured & Layered (22 Layers) Acrylic Abstract. 40 x 40 x 1.5 Gallery Wrapped Cotton Canvas. Applied with a Palette Knife. Use of Professional Grade Acrylics & use of Golden Professional Archival UV Gloss Varnish Spray. My concept with this art piece as an Abstract was building layers and then working with 3 shades of Red and 3 shades of Orange. I was able to create the last 2 layers to create this art work. Building colors and then blending colors on top of prior layers which I have left open in some areas on the canvas is always creative and adds interest to the painting. It is a process in which you do not rush as you might paint over an interesting and wonderful spot on the canvas. I wanted to give it some character as well with lines and some texture. There are also hints of Teal, Gold, and Copper. Lighting will depend the mood and brilliance of the Red colors and Orange colors with this art piece. 2 Vertical hangings and 2 Horizontal hangings. Felt pads on back of painting to protect the wall. Ready to hang as sides are painted as well. Professional UV Protective Spray Varnish applied to protect painting. Certificate of Authenticity 1/1. ***Lighting is important for this painting and any other painting. I have taken photos outdoors with this painting in Sunlight and Shade using 200 ISO. I have also taken some photos indoors under lighting with 200 ISO. It was difficult for me to photograph the painting indoors under light with some photos due to the Reds and Oranges. The painting in person is rich and a strong art piece with the proper lighting. If you do not have over head lighting or good room lighting-the painting will be darker. Indirect Sunlight is important as well in the room you would be considering this painting.
