Artist Statement:
My work is a continuous search for the hidden rhythm of our surroundings. Whether I am submerged in the turquoise depths of the Caribbean or standing before the geometric precision of a modern staircase, my goal is the same: to capture the precise moment where light, form, and emotion converge.
Having lived and worked for over a decade in the Los Roques Archipelago, I developed an intimate dialogue with water and light. I see the ocean not just as a landscape, but as a living sculpture in constant motion. This same fascination with 'organic architecture' guides my lens when I photograph urban structures; I seek the soul within the steel and the poetry within the symmetry.
I believe that art should do more than just occupy a space—it should transform it. By bringing the raw majesty of nature and the elegance of architectural design into the home through large-format, museum-quality pieces, I aim to create a sanctuary of aesthetic harmony. For me, a photograph is only complete when it finds its place in a curated interior, changing the energy of the room and offering the viewer a moment of profound peace and wonder.
Artist Biography
Federico Cabello is a photographer and visual artist with a profound gift for capturing beauty in any environment—from the raw majesty of the natural world and architecture to the subtle, unexpected details of everyday life. He is the acclaimed author of nine photography books that blend documentary precision with a distinct artistic vision.
His extensive editorial career includes five volumes dedicated to the natural wonders of the Los Roques Archipelago (Venezuela), as well as the photography books "Bonaire Point to Point," "Aruba Point to Point," and "Providenciales Point to Point" in Turks and Caicos. These works explore the wild and untamed beauty of the Caribbean through a unique point-to-point visual journey. His mastery of light and composition has earned his work a place in prestigious global publications, including National Geographic.
The same pursuit of evocative aesthetics that defines his books now guides his production of fine art. His collections—such as Agua y Luz, Agua y Viento, and Classic and Modern Architecture—are transformed into large-format artistic pieces. Mounted in museum-quality acrylic, these works are designed to serve as fundamental elements in sophisticated, carefully designed spaces. For Federico, the ultimate fulfillment lies in seeing his art achieve a superior aesthetic harmony within a curated interior, transforming the atmosphere of a room through his lens.

Artistic Influences:
My visual journey began in childhood, hypnotized by the storytelling and imagery of National Geographic. This early fascination evolved into a deep professional admiration for the work of masters like David Doubilet and Jim Brandenburg.
What resonates with me in their mastery—and what I strive to achieve in my own work—is the elevation of aesthetics over the mere act of documentation. I believe that the power of a photograph does not lie in the rarity of the subject, but in the aesthetic intentionality behind the lens. Whether capturing an elusive species or a common creature, it is the light, composition, and artistic perspective that make the difference, transforming the simple into the masterful and the documentary into fine art.
