Dan Louth

I have spent most of my life as a software engineer and business owner. I have been an avid art lover my entire life and started painting and drawing about 12 years ago. I studied art at Artis Anima in the San Francisco bay area.

I mostly paint with oils and tend to layer my paints to get the effect I like. My style is eclectic but I am starting to paint more abstract these days. I am influenced by artist such as Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, Mark Rothko, Joan Miró, Jean Michel Basquiat, and Banksy. While these artist's artwork are quite different from each other, there are elements of each artist that inspire me to paint. I like colors and spontaneity in a painting.

My artwork has been shown at several galleries and art shows throughout the San Francisco bay area.
