In Downtown Spartanburg, SC<\/a>, sidewalk chalk is not just something for kids anyone, it could be something that saves lives. <\/span>In an area that has a lot of foot traffic and car traffic, residents were getting nervous and looking for creative solutions to keep people safe. Then someone had a great idea – what if they could keep the town safer and look better in the process?<\/span><\/p>\n

The bright colors alert both pedestrians and drivers and the change texture alerts drivers and pedestrians to slow down and be safe in this zone. <\/span>Although this style of crosswalk is not typical, it is a great example of art interacting positively in our lives. I challenge anyone who thinks an art major is useless!<\/span><\/p>\n
